Built React pages and Sanity content models for B&N Reads, gift cards, and audiobooks, along with mobile navigation managed in the CMS.

Page components and content models

As part of SDG’s team, I built React and TypeScript pages for Barnes & Noble’s Shopify Hydrogen storefront and connected them to Sanity.

For B&N Reads, I defined Sanity schemas for articles, authors, and topics and wrote the content queries. Hydrogen route loaders ran those queries server-side and supplied the content to the React page. For gift cards and audiobooks, I built configurable sections that editors could maintain in Sanity.

CMS-managed navigation

I extended the navigation schema in Sanity and connected it to the mobile menu. Editors could update navigation links and membership messaging in the CMS without changing the React components.
